New Video Alert: “Why Can’t We Live Together” (by Timmy Thomas & Alana Joy ft. Kidd Wes)

Since the dawn of the late Treyvon murder case, I have a new song that steps away from my usuals.
The record is “Why Can’t We Live Together” a remake written and preformed by Alana Joy and Timmy Thomas.For those that aren’t familiar with Timmy Thomas, he became big time musician in the early 70′s, but
after controversy between the death of Dr. Martin Luther King to Nelson Mendela in South Africa, the song
has gained its public success. Hopefully after this may we all learn to live together.

R.I.P. Treyvon Martin: ‘Hoodies Up, Violence Down’
Hello YoungWorld,
Today isn’t the best of days but maybe the promise of better tomorrows. I’m pretty sure everyone is aware of the news that
entails the case of the shooting of a young man by the name of Treyvon Martin. I express my biggest grief and condolences
for the family of a young man of only 17. For those who aren’t aware, Treyvon was on his way home late on February 26, 2012
and was shot by 28-year old George Zimmerman by a twelve gauge shotgun. Zimmerman claims that Martin looked like he was
carrying a weapon and that as a neighborhood watchman, he needed to protect himself
Parents of young Treyvon were notified many days after the event and no one was arrested, due to “self defense” pleaded by
Mr. Zimmerman.
In the last few weeks the movement that I have seen has left me in awe with rallies and hoodies galore.
We have to stop the violence, and create the unity. And it shouldn’t take a killing for it to be done.
So lets bow our heads and raise our hoodies again, for this is for Treyvon Martin and what he could have been.
